Please visit his site, he is an awesome artist!. Things you will need for this tutorial. Paint Shop Pro 7 Eye Candy 4000 or use the PSP cutout feature Jim Warren's graphic or graphic of your choice (this tutorial looks best with a fantasy type graphic) 1. Ctl D 3 times and close the original graphic. 2. First image, use effects, textures, mosaic glass with these settings. Set graphic aside for use later as the border fill. 3. Second image. Effects, artistic, topography (settings follow), then effects, artistic brush strokes (settings follow). Then effects, artistic, and use the same topography settings as before. 4. Take the last image, select all contract by 30, then modify feather 35. Copy image. 5. Paste onto the image you just did the topography on. Line it up so that it looks good to you. I had to reduce my image 75% so that it was pleasing to me. Make sure you only reduce the new pasted image. 6. On this new layer, go to noise and add 15%, or whatever looks pleasing to you. 7. Merge all layers, flatten. As a courtesy to the original artist, I placed his name on the graphic. As a courtesy to ME, lol, I always sign my work. roflol Reduce the graphic to a manageable size for submission to your lists. And when you save use your export as JPEG function. 8. Add a border of 5 pixels, I used ULEADS Art Texture #5, but you may use anything you like. I just happen to like making frames with gold, wishing it was real gold. :-) PSP's inner bevel with these settings. 9. Add another border of 25. Remember the graphic you manipulated with the mosaic filter (image #1)? Well, just use it to fill your 25 pixel border. I tried several settings, but wound up using it with it set at 75%. That's where it had the look I liked when I did the flood fill. Use the same inner bevel. 10. Add another border of 5 pixels and use the same technique you used on the first border of 5 pixels. Remember to do another inner bevel. 11. That's it, you're done, don't you feel Artistik now? :-) Please email me with any questions. Don't forget to stop by and pick up your "Thank You" for doing my tutorial. If you would like your work displayed in my Hall of Fame at the end of this tutorial, please send me a copy of your graphic (signed) 200 x 200, and give me your URL and I will link it for you. Family friendly only please.
